I would really love to go through the book of Exodus! I love the way you explain Biblical literature. It will be awesome if you can go through the whole Hebrew Bible at some point!!!!
It would be great if you continued from the Book of Exodus and went through the entire Old Testament, listing the stories chronologically as you see them. I am aware that you are focusing on the texts and their literary significance; however, my suggestion would broaden the historical and cultural contexts.
One more plug for classical literature (Oedipus Rex would be great for this): it would be very cool to explore the differences—and points of contact!—between biblical and classical literature along some of the lines of Girardian analysis you've introduced us to.
For example, was Laius killed by one or by many? And what does it mean that Sophocles was somehow able to pose that question?
It sounds like a lot of people are pulling for Exodus, which would be great. And the point about already having Alter's translation is a good one.
But if there's any movement for classical literature, I would love to read Ovid's Metamorphoses with you again. Definitely didn't appreciate it enough back in 2015 (lol).
Thanks, as always, for the straight-up awesome readings. 💯
Let's keep working through the Torah at least, therefore Exodus next.
Odyssey / Illiad is (are) very tempting, but there are plenty of translstions, and I'd probably have the wrong one. We already have the Alter Hebrew Bible - let's stick with it!
Exodus would be a good choice. We love the way you tell your stories
Exodus is fine .
Going through The Bible is a wonderful idea !
I would like to an Esther study with you !

It would be great to explore a gospel.
Exodus is great and other Old Testament Books. I would love 1 Kings and 2 Kings!

Regards,
Let’s just keep rolling thru the entire Bible!
Exodus or other biblical texts please!
