Last week in Episode 62 - Moses Flees Egypt - Exodus 2-3, we followed Moses into the wilderness after he killed an Egyptian man to protect an Israelite. We asked questions of justice and considered Moses’ future role as he who will lead God’s people from Egypt, and found another betrothal scene at a well. Moses later encounters God in the burning bush, a potent image with much meaning to consider.
This week in Episode 63 - Moses and the Burning Bush - Exodus 4, we continue with Moses’ conversation with God at the burning bush. We pay attention to a few interpretations of God’s ‘sign’ to Moses and revisit the discussion of God’s name and the implications of that name in Moses’ task of leading the Israelites.
